Happy Valentine’s Day, Volume XIII
If the number 13 is bad luck, then call me a black cat because this year has been one of LOVEliest I’ve had since starting my business over 13 years ago.
Looking back at my valentine designs over the years, I see so much growth in my work as a creative, a writer, a collaborator and most importantly, a friend to the people I’m lucky enough to work with. From cute puns and critters to wordplay and picture poems, each card holds a special place in my heart. And this year, apparently my heart belongs to Ed Hardy.
Loving Words (And Tatts)
The branding/advertising/marketing/whatever-you-want-to-call-it industry is a wild one often overflowing with competition, oversized egos and high-pressure situations. But I have to say, I am so blessed to work with some of the most amazing companies and individuals on this heavily tattooed planet.
Having my own business empowers me to work only with brands I believe in and people I admire. It’s a gift, and not one I take lightly. Sending these valentines every year is a reminder of how much love I have for each and every one of you, and I hope I’ve left a positive mark on you too (in the form of some siiiiiick ink).
XOXO
Thank you to the brilliant Julia Williams aka The Designosaur for bringing my 2024 card and temporary tattoos to life with such boldness and beauty. No matter what idea I bring to you, you never fail to make it incredible. And of course, thank you to my friends, family, colleagues, clients, pen pals and loved ones for supporting and inspiring me as I continue this journey.
Happy Valentine’s Day, babes.
I love each and every one of you so much,
I got a tattoo of your name.
