Valentine’s Day, Episode 12

Few businesses love Valentine’s Day more than EBB Copywriting + Creative.

Maybe Hallmark.

Or Russell Stover.

Or what used to called Fascinations if you’re feeling saucy.

But I can say with absolute certainty that no cat loves it more than my little chatty tabby Elvis, who graces this year’s valentine with his signature smirk. As the card says, it was only a matter of time before I did a cat card, and I guess meow is that time.

A dozen years, like a dozen red roses.

For 12 years, I have spent months pondering, planning, writing, creative directing, printing, prepping, envelope-stuffing, postage-calculating and delivering custom cards to my clients, colleagues, contacts, friends, family, pets and potential partners. And for 11 years, people have asked me, “Is it worth it?” My answer is yes.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. 

Because getting all of your emails, texts, calls and photos fills my heart with joy and fills my tank with energy to do it all over again. And again. And again. Next year, maybe with a turtle. I still haven’t decided yet.

Thanksgiving on Valentine’s Day

A million and one thank yous to my cat-ostrophically inspiring clients for being so f*cking awesome that I can’t not love you. To my friends and family for their endless support of my entrepreneurial (and feline) spirit. To Sarah, Jenny and Prashanta for helping me assemble and address nearly 350 envelopes. To Julia for her design brilliance in bringing my little baby to life in cartoon form. And to Elvis, for being my ride or die and always keeping life interesting (especially when he announces himself with a YOWL in the background of my Zoom calls).

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone. I have nothing but love for you.
