Bachan’s gets an A+ on Amazon.

02/03 2026

With the hot-off-the-presses news of The Marzetti Company’s acquisition of Bachan’s for 400 MILLION DOLLARS [insert Dr. Evil here meme here], it seemed only right to make a post about my most recent work with this history-making sauce brand.

So, here goes.

When the Bachan’s team asked me to drizzle the brand’s “Daring Darling” tone of voice all over its Amazon page, I immediately popped my cap and started pouring. The goal was simple (and also not simple at all): make people feel the spirit of this Japanese-American brand in a sea of studio-shot product tiles and bullet points designed specifically to Amazon’s A+ content guidelines.

Every Sauce Gets a Story

Instead of just rattling off flavor cues like every other sauce brand, we gave each SKU its own little moment—part origin story, part personality profile, part quiet confidence. Like a well-dressed dinner guest who doesn’t need to raise their voice to command attention, but can effortlessly captivate the room with their wit and attitude.

Very Important Lessons

Sprinkled throughout the brand’s Amazon pages are short, punchy lines designed to stop thumbs mid-scroll. No fluff. No filler. Just tight, clever copy that sounds exactly like Bachan’s feels: warm, charming and just daring enough.

And then there’s my favorite part: A Lesson in Responsible Saucing.

Because Bachan’s isn’t just another bottle on the shelf. They craft both barbecue sauce and dipping sauces, and the difference matters. The delightfully educates readers on when to pour, when to dip and how to absolutely not confuse the two.Writing Amazon A+ content doesn’t usually leave much room for personality. But this time it did, and it was a joy to make every word count with just the right amount of sauce. Shop now on the Bachan’s website, Amazon or a store shelf near you.
