So Long, Old Site.

12/17 2019

Rest in peace, old blog. You served me well for nearly a decade, but alas, your time has come to float up to that magical server in the sky.

I am so excited to share my beautiful new website with you all — yes, the one you’re reading right now — after going through a full redesign these past few months. As you can see from the images above and below, it was definitely time for an upgrade. And while change can be scary, I knew that I had to go all in to compete with the killer creative talent all around me. I looked to my frequent collaborators at Betterweather to help a sister out, and boy-oh-boy did they do me right. My site was outdated, old-fashioned and didn’t reflect the breadth or depth of my work, and Rob and Tracey did a remarkable job bringing EBB Copywriting + Creative to life in a modern and responsive (yay!) new way.

As you can probably see from the textures and shapes of the current design, I’m big into nature. I grew up in the mountains and constantly find myself taking photos of natural textures, which became the inspiration behind the look and feel of the site. (See examples below).

We added a Services page to elaborate on the types of work I do, and we broadened my About page to not only describe me as a person, but also my business style. And of course, we gave my Blog a full makeover for optimal readability, performance and visual appeal. I wrote the copy (obviously), and thoroughly enjoyed putting pen to paper regarding the no-bullshit professional philosophy that it’s taken me almost 10 years to hone.

Looking back to the very first blog I posted on my original site (dated 1/11/11), I honestly can’t believe how far this business has come. WARNING: Oscar-style speech ahead. I want to thank my unspeakably cool clients, colleagues, friends and family for everything you have done to help inspire and motivate me. Without you, I never would or could have become my own boss and spent my career doing what I love — often from the comfort of my bed or couch. I am so grateful for your support, and I dedicate this new site to you. Here’s to great things in 2020, and I hope you like the new online digs.
