You won’t be seeing these banners running live here in the U.S. of A., but the lucky folks in Europe are going to get an eyeful. And perhaps an afternoon addiction, as well.
Created with my friends at the Sterling-Rice Group, these highly interactive banners correlate closely with the the brand’s existing “handbag” print campaign running in the European Union. The ads serve up an intuitive message: almonds are the ideal on-the-go snack nut. They’re not greasy, they’re crammed with 12 essential nutrients and an astounding 6g of protein per ounce, and they taste darn good too.
So to bring this concept to life online, we created a series of game banners in which users try to fill their handbags with crunch California Almonds. The faster you go, the better your score. And once players have had their fill of fun, they can enter to win a year’s supply of almonds to stock their pantry and handbags. Ahhh, incentives. Gotta love ’em.
